Visit us at Winemaker’s Loft located within Vintner’s Village for a tasting or a glass of wine. We champion wines from the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, grown in vineyards on the fertile banks of the Columbia River. We offer a polished, yet casual ambiance and warm hospitality for guests from Prosser, the Yakima Valley, Tri-Cities and beyond. Guests from around the Northwest come to Prosser for great wine and small-town charm. We hope to see you soon!

2024 Sauvignon Blanc

A crisp, bright, and balanced Sauvignon Blanc from McKinley Springs in Horse Heaven Hills. This 2024 vintage pours a beautiful pale straw with a clear appearance. The nose is lively and complex, featuring apple, peach, apricot, and citrus notes, accented by orange blossom and honeysuckle, with a subtle mineral backbone. The palate is dry and layered, offering flavors of lemon and nectarine that lead to a wonderfully persistent medium finish. Its bright acidity and complex fruit profile make it a versatile companion for delicate fish, chicken pesto pasta, or mild cheeses like goat cheese.

A bright and refreshing white blend from Horse Heaven Hills, the 2024 vintage shines with a pale straw color and a light-bodied, smooth texture. Aromas of caramel, apple, honeysuckle, and lavender greet the nose, while the dry palate delivers playful flavors of bubblegum, sea salt caramel, lemon, and nectarine. With low to medium acidity and a perfectly balanced, short-to-medium finish, this wine is a crowd-pleaser especially alongside mushroom chicken or your favorite poultry dishes.

A vibrant ruby Red Blend from Horse Heaven Hills, the 2022 vintage showcases a thick, concentrated appearance that hints at its robust structure. The bouquet is immediately intriguing and layered classic blackberry fruit is met with evocative earthiness, reminiscent of “morning after rain” on graphite soil. Warm spice notes of vanilla and a hint of smoke mingle with the freshness of chocolate and cherry. The palate is dry and full-bodied, with bold, assertive tannins balanced by a beautifully smooth, silky texture. A striking green pepper element adds complexity to the plush fruit, creating an intriguing profile. Finish: Lengthy, sea salt caramel, anise

This Merlot from Horse Heaven Hills pours a deep ruby and offers a medium, viscous body. The nose is complex and inviting, with notes of cardamom, mesquite, burnt orange, honey, pomegranate, and hibiscus. On the palate, it’s dry, balanced, and intensely juicy, featuring sun-ripened strawberry, grape compote, black cherry, strawberry, dark chocolate, and a subtle touch of eucalyptus. A 100% Syrah from the esteemed McKinley Springs Vineyards in Horse Heaven Hills, this 2022 vintage presents a vibrant ruby color and a thick, concentrated appearance. The nose is exceptionally layered and intriguing, leading with deep dark fruit notes of blackberry and fig, contrasted by the unexpected freshness of Granny Smith apple and blood orange. Elements of lavender and sage mingle with a unique hint of mesquite honey, evoking a savory BBQ aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is dry and full-bodied, transitioning from a polished entry to a grippy, structured finish.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon from Horse Heaven Hills, sourced from Sandpiper Farms, is a wine of remarkable depth and character. Its intense, opaque inky purple color signals the concentration and richness within. On the nose, the wine opens with a cascade of dark fruit black cherry, blackberry, and sweet fig interwoven with layers of warm spice, including clove and cinnamon, and the earthy undertones of tobacco leaf and forest floor.  As the wine breathes, subtle notes of dark chocolate and eucalyptus emerge, complemented by a refined smokiness from well-integrated oak. The palate is bold and full-bodied, with a chewy texture and medium legs that speak to its structure and density. Medium acidity provides lift and freshness, while the tannins are firm and gripping, promising excellent aging potential.
